Description

The Rome Prize Fellowship in Musical Composition supports composers with a residency at the American Academy in Rome within a multidisciplinary community. Fellows undertake a proposed composition project benefiting from the resources and cultural environment of Rome.

Eligibility

US citizens only (at time of application). Professional commitment to composition required — not for students except ABD doctoral candidates. Previous Rome Prize winners are not eligible to reapply.
